Plot

Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before. With their abilities outmatched, Team Sonic must forge an unlikely alliance. The directors of the previous films have mentioned playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2001) and the standalone game Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) for inspiration.
