Dopo un incidente traumatico, il giovane studente di medicina James Hayman (Namir Smallwood) viene trasferito in un ospedale rurale per ricominciare da capo. Il dottor Harrison (il veterano attore teatrale e cinematografico Michael Potts) suggerisce un corso incentrato sulle buone maniere e sulla creazione di un legame più profondo con i pazienti.
