It’s unreadable anyway
Plot
It follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a TV documentary journalist whose work has been based on exposing the wrongdoings of long-respected institutions. The exceptionally talented Russian Blue Cat improvised all of her action and dialogue in Ravenscroft House. In several series, Jonathon uses the same lens, a medium telephoto lens.
I had to give up halfway through episode 3
Such a lens couldn’t focus on close subjects, like selfies with Sasha or in the bedroom with Catherine. This is some of the worst acting I’ve ever seen and not even Cate Blanchett could save it. This came from someone who read the book in anticipation of this show.
And that annoying transition!
I have to say, I found the book itself very mediocre. I can’t believe how many things have gone wrong. I mean, what happened to the sound quality and that horribly useless narration?
The whole show is very boring
Everything seems so out of place in this mess of a show. The ratings are fake, this is in no way a 7 star show. The dialogue from the young actors is just disgusting.
One star for the cat
From the beginning we already know what happened unlike the book if I remember correctly, so when the mystery disappears we are left with nothing. Too bad I was really looking forward to it.
