A Landman, at least one who works in the petroleum industry, will act as the middleman between the exploration companies and the landowners

Typically, a landman's job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent Essentially, they manage the land and secure the leases, so they can drill oil and gas.

They are also, part Fixer, Problem Solver and Facilitator as well

Like a foreman on a construction site, they build out roads ,living quarters for the workers (man-camp), assemble the excavation machinery and drill the well itself especially in remote locations.

Well, I didn't know what to expect from this one because Taylor Sheridan either makes an interesting and entertaining series or makes a disaster like the Yellowstone spinoff with Harrison Ford called 1923.This is really fun, regardless of some characters that are hilarious, but clearly fit this series.Billy Bob Thornton is an excellent choice for this role, the character is fun and interesting and completely different from most characters in today's shows and movies, which is refreshing.Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton is the character we needed, and the show is fun, no pretentious nonsense, at least for now.His family, daughter and ex-wife are hilarious, his relationship with his daughter is a bit bizarre, but he himself is sometimes shocked by it, as we can see from his reactions.

His ex-wife, played by Ali Larter, is pure parody, but it works and fits the plot perfectlyThe dialogues are what make this series interesting, unlike most of what the "entertainment industry" serves us today, this is actually funThe cinematography is good, and the soundtrack is excellent and perfectly fits the plot and atmosphere of the seriesIt remains to be seen how the characters will develop, including those played by Demi Moore, Jon Hamm and Jacob Lofland, who plays Cooper Norris, the son of Tommy NorrisThe casting is pretty good, the actors are clearly having a good time and it shows, which makes the series even betterFor now, this has a lot of potential, let's hope it moves in the right direction
