Follow Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Badingham as their long-running rivalry comes to an end. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner has previously starred in Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals). The same filming location was also used to portray Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC television adaptation of Poldark. I’m laughing at some of the reviews, clearly from readers who take themselves too seriously. This is a Jilly Cooper adaptation. It’s not a series to be intellectualized or moralised. It’s so much fun.Greatly rendered.Yes, RCB’s hair and eyes are the wrong color. Like Taggies hair. But they work. Somehow.RCB will disappoint some because of this. But Alex Hassell captures everything else about him. Danny Dyer is perfect. David Tennant is EXCELLENT as always. And Aidan Turner is just wonderful, if a little young, to play a bit of Declan.Falters in the final third. But yes. It’s great fun. I watched it all at once.
