In the gutter, when oft-fired Walt (Shameik Moore) takes a job tending bar and throwing shoes at the local bowling alley, AlleyCatz, he feels he’s finally found a home. When financial troubles threaten AlleyCatz, Walt finds himself under pressure from former pro bowler and current drinking champ Skunk (D’Arcy Carden) to accept his role as the greatest bowler to ever grace the face of the earth. While Walt’s penchant for big checks and straightforward style dominate the pro circuit, his critics, including ratings-obsessed news anchor Angelo Powers and recently retired bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon), furiously try to snuff out Walt’s flame before it burns too brightly.
